ILOCOS Day 1 - Pagudpud

We started our day tour after our breakfast at Ate Cathy's Homestay. Kuya Marlou fetches us around 8 o'clock in the morning.

Our first stop, of course picture taking at Pagudpud entrance!

 And another entrance.... to Pagudpud!

Loser's at Pagudpud!

BANGUI WINDMILLS

After watching "Suddenly It's Magic" starring Thai actor "Mario Maurer", I said to myself that I want to visit Ilocos. The movie promotes the tourism for this province, showcasing the beauty of the place, one of them is the Bangui Windmills!

so lovely!

BANGUI VIEW DECK

If you want to see the beautiful scenery of Bangui Windmills, your Manong tour guide will take you here, don't forget to buy pasalubongs.

Souvenirs at Bangui Viewdeck

Just last December, tricycle from Pagudpud are not allowed to cross or tour in the Burgos area anymore, so what we do (as told by Kuya Marlou), we ride a bus going to Burgos and someone he knew fetch us to tour in Cape Bojeador and Kapurpurawan Rock Formation.

Tour Fare: 300php
Entrance to Kapurpurawan Rock Formation: 15 each
Bus to Burgos: 40php each (roundtrip)

Bangui View Point
Another beautiful scenery of rock formations, this is the place where we met our next tour guide.

It's a Small World!

While we're busy taking pictures, some people came that caught my attention, looks familiar to me, as they came closer, I was surprised to know that it's my colleagues. Yeah small world huh! ^^

snap!

CAPE BOJEADOR LIGHTHOUSE

The famous lighthouse in Burgos, Ilocos Norte. Reaching the tower area, you'll see the beauty of this province! Unfortunately they restrict entering the tower, I don't know why, but Kuya Marlou says, we can still enter the tower 'coz he knew the caretaker, but there are lots of people, so still we can't 'coz they might question us.

Always a LOSER! hahaha

KAPURPURAWAN ROCK FORMATION

This was also featured in the movie "Suddenly It's Magic" and finally I'm here! This place is so far, I can't believe that Mario Maurer went to this place, and walked to reach this rock formation, seriously walked for about 10 minutes or more! Poor Mario :(

Kapurpurawan Rock Formation was also featured in the movie Panday and Enteng Kabisote, built props for the movie can still be seen here.

You can also try horseback riding here for 100php.

TIMMANGTANG ROCK

Another rock formation, it was kinda cold in this area, I don't know if it's just me that feeling cold but as you can see how my hair was blown  ~kekeke~ (panira ng posing)

BANTAY ABOT CAVE

A cave that's not a cave but a hill, info says that the hole was because of the earthquake that wrecked the hill, it really looks like a cave. Going down was kinda scary for me, coz the wind was so strong and so as the waves, I can't even take nice photos here, worried that I might slip.

FINE = 500php (the place is really clean!)

the hole

strong waves!

amazing!

BLUE LAGOON

I just love this place! If you are looking for a beautiful white beach with less crowd, this is definitely  what you're looking for!

Aside from enjoying the sun and sand, you can also try their newest Zipline located at Hannah's Resort.

As much as I wanted to enjoy the sand and soak in the beach, we can't because we didn't bring any clothes and it was far from our place. Well guess this adds to my reason to come back in ILOCOS!

PATAPAT VIADUCT

Another famous tourist spot in Ilocos, a concrete bridge that connects Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte to Cagayan Valley Region.
