South Korea 2014: Day 7 - Last day in Seoul (Insadong, Unhyeongung Palace)

Our flight from Jeju International Airport to Gimpo is 8:25am, we took the Aiport Bus that only cost 1,000won (credited to our T Money), if you want to take a cab it will cost you 6,000 won.

How to get here:
Anguk Station (Seoul Subway Line 3), Exit 6.
Go 100m straight, then turn left.
OR
Jonggak Station (Seoul Subway Line 1), Exit 3.
Go straight 300m, and turn left at the 4-way Intersection.
Go straight 100m, and take the left road towards Insadong-gil Road.


Insadong is an important place where old but precious and traditional goods are on display. There is one main road in Insa-dong with alleys on each side. Within these alleys are galleries, traditional restaurants, traditional teahouses, and cafes.

SSAMZIGIL

Ssamziegil has been marked as the 'Special Insa-dong within Insa-dong'. This unique area was designed in such a way by connecting its charming alleys in the form of a spiral-like stairway.

For Korean Drama fans, this is one of the filming location of the drama "The Heirs" starring Lee Minho and Park Shin Hye. in the drama this place is where Cha Eun Sang (Shin-Hye) bought her dreamcatcher, well this is not a dream-catcher shop but a shop that sells egg tarts.

April – October: 09:00 ~ 19:00


Unhyeongung Palace also known as Unhyeongung Royal Residence is the palace that King Gojong lived in before he acceded to the throne. The palace was built in 1864 and in 1869 more buildings were added.



You can have your traditional clothing experience here, for 3,300 KRW experience wearing hanbok as you walk through Unhyeongung Palace.
