Malaysia (Day 6 of SG-Malaysia Trip)

I have a total of 9 days stay in Singapore, so I allotted one day for Malaysia Trip, since it's just 5 to 6 hours trip from Singapore (by bus). After exploring Chinatown, I head off to my hostel and take a rest 'coz I'm planning to take the last trip of StarMart Express to Kuala Lumpur at around 11:45pm.

StarMart Express operates daily bus/coach service to Malaysia.

I'm so lucky that there is near terminal from Hostel Amigos the "Golden Mile Complex", which is just a short walk from MRT Lavender Station. I reach Golden Mile around 11pm, I bought one way ticket cost 30 SGD for their last trip to KL at 11:45pm.

Around 11:30pm we boarded the StarMart Express, If I'm not mistaken we're only around 10 people on the bus, at exactly 11:45pm we leave Singapore.

After 30 minutes we reach the Malaysia Immigration, after presenting my passport and embarkation card, they asked some questions, like how many days will I stay in KL, in which I answered that I'll be just staying for a day in KL, then the IO ask for my etickets, so I presented it to her. That's it, they will put a sticker to your passport, it is a two sticker that the other one will be removed when you leave Malaysia.

As for my research they say it's 5 or 6 hours travel time from SG to KL, my expected arrival is 5 or 6 in the morning, but I arrived at Time Square in KL at around past 3am! I did not booked a hotel/hostel and did not research too much for accommodation , so I ended up waiting there for hours until the MRT starts to operates. Good thing there is a free wifi nearby, so I used my mobile phone to kill some time. I'm kinda scared too, so I did not look for a nearest hostel either.

There you go it's 6:30am, I was at Imbi Station and bought a ticket going to KL Sentral cost 1.40 RM.

KL Sentral is the hub for Kuala Lumpur, wherein you can do your transfer of train to different destinations.

I had my breakfast here at KL Sentral, before going to my first destination "Batu Caves".

BATU CAVES

It is so easy to get here, just go at the KTM Komuter going to Batu Caves, this is also the last station. I came here early which is good, because there are only few people and the weather is just fine.

Early that morning I've seen some local already doing their rituals.

The place was so peaceful, so I head off to the tallest Murugan statue which is also located at the entrance of the Batu Caves.

Now the challenge for me, climbing the 272 steps to the cave! On your way up you'll see some monkeys roaming around, they are harmless so nothing to worry.

Now what's inside Batu Caves? hmmmm CAVES! ^^  Well there is a Hindu shrine inside, so you'll see again some locals here worshiping.

So there you go I'm done on my first stop, so I head off to KL Sentral again and find the booth selling tickets for Hop On Hop Off tour. I plan to avail this tour because this was the easy way to have a city tour in KL. It cost 38RM for a 24 hrs city tour on Hop On Hop Off or HoHo. Around 10am the HoHo Bus arrived at KL Sentral so I hop in, it is a colorful double decker bus which is very easy to recognize.

KL Sentral is on the 11th stop but I already want to see Petronas Tower which is on 22nd stop, so I just enjoyed the sightseeing while I'm on the HoHo.

The most popular tourist spot on KL is the Petronas Tower, there are really lots of people taking pictures of this structure, which is really amazing twin towers!

You'll surely enjoy the HoHo even if you did not hop off the bus, some of my shots are inside the bus.

KL Tower

My next hop off is Chinatown, just like in Singapore it is a place where you can buy cheap souvenirs. I bought here one souvenir t-shirt that cost 6RM and set of keychains that cost 10RM.

HoHo sometimes stop for 10 minutes break on a location and that will give you a chance to take pictures too.

The National Palace

Passing by Little India.

I then hop off to National Museum.

Hop off to Sultan Mosque, i love the structures here.

After a full round trip of City Tour, I hop off again at Petronas Tower and took picture again.

I want to catch the 7:30pm bus schedule of Starmart Express but the HoHo arrived so late, an hour passed before the bus arrived and the traffic also approaches!

On my way to Berjaya Times Square, I've seen this man! Cool! ^^

I bought a return ticket at Starmart Express booth that cost 40RM, because I did not catch the 7:30pm bus schedule I bought last trip schedule which is 11:30pm. I took my dinner at KFC inside Berjaya Times Square, good thing there is a mall that I spend my hours waiting, the thing is the mall will close at 10pm. So outside there is an event, it is a skate day event, so to kill some time I watch those skaters!

Finally after waiting for hours, the bus arrived at exactly 11:30pm and now I'm leaving KL! I wanna go back here to visit Genting Highlands and other parts of Malaysia!

It was so cold inside the coach, they wouldn't lower down the AC even if you requested it like the other tourist asking the bus driver, so I suggest you bring a jacket with you.

Singapore's IO asked a lot of question to me since I was alone, he requested my return ticket, hotel accommodation, number of days I will spent in SG, amount of money I have... though I'm confident enough to answers his question, I'm a bit scared but it was a relief seeing other tourist inside the IO Office.

It was fun and nice experience trip to Malaysia, the HoHo was really helpful for me to roam around the city. If you plan to avail this city tour, the ticket is consumable for 24 hours. I highly recommend HoHo for first timer traveler in KL.

Arrived so early in the morning at Golden Mile Complex.

I'm back again in Singapore! Good morning Singapore, it is a rainy saturday morning ^^
