Singapore - Day 8 (Singapore Botanic Garden/Orchard)

My 8th day in Singapore! Loving Singapore day by day ^^

Today I wouldn't be alone because I'll be meeting my brother's friend "Kuya Froilan"

When I posted my status on Facebook account that I'm in Singapore he sent me a message and of course he says that we should meet before I left the country.

It's been a week that I'm travelling alone, so this is really new to me that someone will be accompanying me on my tour! Kuya Froi was working for 3 years already here in Singapore, I'm not aware that he was here, the last time I heard about him, is he was working in Dell. So there you go, I'm happy that I will have a tourist guide for a day!

I have to meet him at 11am at ION in Orchard, this mall is really nice I stroll a bit because he came late.

We had our lunch at Pastamania in Cineleisure Mall. Then we also went to Lucky Plaza and it makes me feel that I'm in Philippines because there are lots of pinoys/pinays there. Kuya Froi asked me where would I like to go, since this is my 8th day I've seen a lot of attractions in Singapore, but then I remember that I haven't been to Singapore Botanic Garden. And the funny thing is Kuya Froi haven't been there too, so he search how to get there using his iPhone, which is very useful. Even the bus # and time arrival can be search using iPhone, I love the free wifi in Singapore!

SINGAPORE BOTANIC GARDENS

Approaching the garden there are lots of Filipina, because it was Sunday so expect a lot of people. There is no entrance fee on this huge garden, it took us 4 hours or more to roam around. I highly recommend this
place to visit specially if you're a nature lover or just want to unwind, this is a best place!

After we stroll the garden, we then go to Lucky Plaza to have dinner at Pinoy restaurant "Kabayan", thanks to Kuya Froi! After a week I get a chance to eat Filipino foods again! ^^

Kabayan Restaurant

To sum up, for those who loves shopping don't miss to visit Orchard. A lot of malls to choose from, and if you're looking for a money changer go to Lucky Plaza, I think the rate is good there. If you have a lot of time try to visit the botanic garden, such a beautiful place to take some rest, read books, play with your kids, etc.

Thanks to Kuya Froi who accompany me the whole day, oh it's my last day tomorrow in Singapore! :(

  1. Orchard is definitely one of the must-sees for shopaholics. Although shopping there is pretty rough on the budget. Hehehe! =)
