Boracay 2012 - Day 1

July 29 - Day 1

Our flight to Kalibo is 8:20am, it's already past 6am when we reach NAIA 3. The weather is fine, a bit cloudy though. We are the first batch going to Boracay, so excited but also worried because of the not so-good-weather! Well... what can we do?! glad that our flight was not cancelled ^_^ We just need to relax and enjoy this vacation!

This is my second time flying with AirPhil and I'm happy with their service, no delays at all despite of the bad weather. Good job AirPhil Express!

It only takes an hour from Manila to Kalibo, we arrived around 9:20am and it was raining. Outside Kalibo International Airport, a lot of "vans" are waiting already bound to Tabon Port, thought that we will be heading to Cagban port, coz' way back 2009 it was in Cagban, anyways as long as it takes us to Boracay it'll be fine. The fare for the van + boat fee is 250php. It takes 1 hour and 30 minutes ride from Kalibo to Tabon port.

At the port, we paid 75php for the environmental fee and 25php for the terminal fee. We had a very scary boat ride experience for 10 minutes! It was raining hard, I almost got wet but still manage not to (a bit). But most of the passengers were so wet, this is how the island welcomes us! Watta wet and wild ride!!! ^_^

After the boat, we need to ride again ^_^ a tryke for less than  20 minutes to reach the Boracay Island! The fare is 15php per person, it took us to D' Talipapa which is very near to Boracay Courtyard. We had our lunch first, got so hungry after that scary boat ride!

Boracay Courtyard
After our heavy lunch, we search for Boracay Courtyard which is just a short walk from D' Talipapa, I'm familiar with the place so it's not actually that hard to find. We reach the place at around 1pm, they allow us for early check-in but only 2 rooms were available that time. The room is too small, it has a cable television, A/C, hot and cold shower. Our room is good for 4 persons, it has two(2) complimentary breakfast at La Carmela de Boracay (a short walk from Boracay Courtyard), the free wifi use is also available here, so sad to say that there is no FREE wifi at your room, though they have charge internet service, which is kinda pricey like 100bucks for 1 hour usage!

We don't wanna waste our time, we stroll a bit on the beach until we reach La Carmela de Boracay. You can also use their pool, it is just a mini pool.

What a windy afternoon in Boracay, so hard to take some photos at the beach 'coz your hair will just wind up to your face! ^_^ Seems like the weather would  not be that kind to us as it rains again while we keep on strolling the beach.

But the rain continuously pours in Boracay, suddenly it'll stop and it'll rain again. As we don't want to stuck ourselves in the room, so me and Mylene decided to take a walk at D'Talipapa to take a look on some pasalubongs, we even bought on our 1st day. ^_^

Night at Boracay
We stroll again, it was so windy that night that the sands keeps splashings on our skin!!! (ouch!) Still Boracay keeps livelier at night, as the bar along the beach shore are opening one by one, acoustic starting playing! Time for some party on  a rainy day! ^_^

We had our dinner at Smoke located in D'Mall, a lot of people eat hear. Nothing really special about the food, don't know if I'm just hungry or what ^_^

Guess we are all tired, no time to celebrate for Eunice "Nice" birthday! Since the weather is also not so good, we just call it a day and just start for tomorrow's adventure!
